October is approaching, and with it, a gathering that promises to be transformative.

The VIII International Congress on Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias: “Embracing the Future” will be much more than just an event:

It will be a space to reconnect, be moved, and learn from the diversity that enriches us. New ideas will come, fresh perspectives, innovative proposals… and above all, people eager to build together a more human and inclusive present. We're in for days filled with shared work, emotions, laughter, and inspiration. This space has always been, since its beginning, a meeting point for dialogue and transformation.

This year, the congress holds an even deeper meaning: we celebrate 25 years of shared history, of collective work, of challenges faced, and major achievements reached alongside so many committed people and organizations.

From October 10 to 12, we once again open the doors to a diverse and interdisciplinary community. Health professionals, educators, social scientists, researchers, families, adults, youth, and children with achondroplasia and other skeletal dysplasias will take part — as well as social agents and representatives from organizations across the globe. This congress is the result of a collective effort, where every voice and every perspective matter.

The program we present here has been designed with care and enthusiasm. It offers opportunities for learning, critical reflection, sharing experiences, building networks — and also moments for celebration. We hope every activity becomes a chance to broaden perspectives, forge alliances, and strengthen our commitment to a full, dignified life in community for everyone.
