Rafael Fernando de Asis Roig

Rafael de Asís, catedrático de filosofía del Derecho de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Investigador del Instituto de Derechos Humanos Gregorio Peces-Barba de esa Universidad. Responsable de la Red El Tiempo de los Derechos. En el campo de los derechos de las personas con discapacidad ha dirigido y participado en más de 40 proyectos de investigación. Entre sus libros y trabajos sobre esta materia cabe citar: “La incursión de la discapacidad en la teoría de los derechos” (2004); Derechos humanos y situaciones de dependencia (2007); “Algunas reflexiones sobre el impacto de la Convención Internacional de los Derechos de las Personas con discapacidad en el Derecho español” (2010); Sobre discapacidad y derechos (2013); “El eje de la accesibilidad y sus límites” (2016); “De nuevo sobre los ajustes razonables” (2018); “Derechos y situaciones de vulnerabilidad” (2020); “Transhumanismo y Discapacidad” (2022); “La discapacidad desde el enfoque de derechos humanos” (2023). En 2024 obtuvo el Premio CERMI Comunidad de Madrid.

Rafael de Asís is a professor of Philosophy of Law at the Carlos III University of Madrid. He is a researcher at the Gregorio Peces-Barba Human Rights Institute at the same university. He is responsible for the Time of Rights Network. He has directed and participated in more than 40 research projects in the field of the rights of persons with disabilities. His books and papers on this subject include: "The Incursion of Disability into the Theory of Rights" (2004); Human Rights and Situations of Dependency (2007); "Some Reflections on the Impact of the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on Spanish Law" (2010); On Disability and Rights (2013); "The Axis of Accessibility and Its Limits" (2016); "Regarding Reasonable Adjustments Again" (2018); "Rights and Situations of Vulnerability" (2020); "Transhumanism and Disability" (2022); and "Disability from a Human Rights Perspective" (2023). In 2024, she received the CERMI Community of Madrid Award.
