Cristina Caño

Cristina Caño Pérez, es diplomada en fisioterapia por la Universidad de Jaén en 2007. Además ha realizado la formación de Osteopatía por la Escuela de Osteopatía de Madrid, el Máster de Atención Temprana por la Escuela de Postgrado de la Universidad de Granada, el Máster Universitario en Gerontología y Atención a la Dependencia, y ha realizado diferentes cursos de formación en fisioterapia, entre los que destaca Terapia Manual en Pediatría.

Comienza a trabajar en el Centro de Atención Infantil Temprana en la Asociación Síndrome de Down Jaén y Provincia en 2008 hasta el 2020. En 2012 inicia su colaboración con la Fundación Alpe Acondroplasia, al ser derivada una niña con Acondroplasia al CAIT, colaborando desde ese momento en diferentes congresos organizados por la Fundación y asesorando a las familias que lo necesitan.

Desde 2020 es Fisioterapeuta en el Servicio Andaluz de Salud de la Junta de Andalucía en el que ha trabajado en diferentes servicios, vinculados a la fisioterapia infantil, donde destaca su labor en el Hospital Materno-Infantil de Málaga y el Hospital San Cecilio de Granada. Además, ha sido docente en el Máster en Atención Infantil temprana de la Universidad de Jaén desde 2016 hasta 2024.

Cristina Caño Pérez graduated in physiotherapy from the University of Jaén in 2007. She also completed osteopathy training at the Madrid School of Osteopathy, a Master's in Early Childhood Care from the Postgraduate School of the University of Granada, a Master's in Gerontology and Dependency Care, and has completed various training courses in physiotherapy, including Manual Therapy in Pediatrics.

She began working at the Early Childhood Care Center of the Jaén and Province Down Syndrome Association from 2008 to 2020. In 2012, she began collaborating with the Alpe Achondroplasia Foundation, when a girl with achondroplasia was referred to the CAIT. Since then, she has collaborated at various conferences organized by the Foundation and provided advice to families in need.

Since 2020, she has been a physiotherapist at the Andalusian Health Service of the Regional Government of Andalusia, where she has worked in various services related to pediatric physiotherapy, most notably at the Maternal and Child Hospital of Málaga and the San Cecilio Hospital in Granada. She also taught on the Master's Degree in Early Childhood Care at the University of Jaén from 2016 to 2024.
